Founded by Col.(Ret.) Henry H. McKee in 1999, Bluebonnet Pet Crematory is a family-owned business serving the San Antonio area for over 20 years. Col. McKee’s two grandsons, James S. Schaefer & Shawn Dial, now run the Bluebonnet Pet Crematory. Multiple members of the family also staff our office. At the last count, 6 dogs and 11 cats grace our home and make our families complete. We know how much your pets mean to you because they also mean the world to us.
Poems for Your Pet's Cremation
Our family will do everything in our power to help you ease the pain of losing your beloved pet. But, saying goodbye isn’t easy. To help you, we’ve prepared special rainbow poems that can be recited at our cremation services.
These poems explain the crossover from this life to the next and will provide some measure of comfort as you grieve. They reassure you that you’ll meet your loved pet on the other side someday. Each cremation includes a poem with paw prints you can take home.
We Understand the Deep Bond with Your Pet
We are a family-owned business, and we treat every pet that comes through our doors with the same love and compassion that we would give our pets.

The relationship between the pet owner and the veterinarian is based on trust. Likewise, the relationship between the veterinarian and the aftercare provider must also be based on trust. We know that trust is not given, it is earned. The veterinarian needs to be confident in the methods that his aftercare provider uses. Bluebonnet has the trust and confidence of your veterinarian due to the high professional standards we employ.
